W. H. B. Urch officiated at the funeral of the late A. O. Darrow, which will be held from the residence, North Jefferson street, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The funeral was under Masonic auspices, Mr. Darrow having been a member of Ionia lodge, No. 36, F.&A.M. He also belonged to the A.O.U.W., at Allegan, in which he carried a policy for $2,000. The death of deceased was very sudden. He has been a sufferer from heart trouble for a number of years, and though he worked on Friday he was not well Saturday morning and remained at home. He was at the dinner table, however, but at about 1:30 was discovered unconscious and when Dr. Allen arrived 15 minutes later he was dead. He was well known and much respected, being a faithful employee of the Pere Marquette railroad company. The interment was in Highland Park cemetery.
