Anthony Datema died at his home in Hubbardston Sunday evening at the age of 
71.  He was born in the Netherlands in 1893 and came to United States in 1916.  
He was married to Eva Schafer in 1926.  Mr. Datema was employed at Mitchell-
Bentley corporation in Ionia 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Eva; one son, Robert of California; three brothers, 
Johannes of Holland, John of West Germany and Francis of Hubbardston; two 
sisters, Mrs. Anthonia Yonker of Holland and Mrs. Marie Schafer of route one, 
Muir. 

The body will be at the family home in Hubbardston where rosary will be recited 
Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. 
John The Baptist Catholic church in Hubbardston at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the 
Rev. Fr. Eugene R. Fox officiating.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.  
Arrangements are by Estep funeral home.
