Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. May 31, 1975


 Myron D. Daugherty, 50, of 980 East Main, died early Saturday morning at Ionia 
Memorial hospital.

Born at Hartford, Ky., November 10, 1924, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Connie 
Joseph Daugherty.

 December 9, 1949, he was married in Toledo, Ohio to Betty Bemis. They had 
lived in Ypsilanti moving from there to Erie before coming to Ionia six years 
ago.

 He was employed by the Garrit Moving and Storage Company of Monroe.

 He was a veteran of World War II serving with the army in Germany.

 Besides his wife Betty, he leaves three sons, Ronald, Michael and David, all 
of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. Penny Lou Tucker of Portland, and Sarah L. 
Daugherty of Ionia; one granddaughter; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daugherty of 
Kentucky; two brothers, Joseph of Kentucky, and Rex of Ypsilanti; three 
sisters, Mrs. Rose Renford, Mrs. Peggy Cook and Mrs. Phyllis House all of 
Kentucky.

 Funeral services will be Monday at 2 pm at the Myers-Roetman funeral home. 
Interment will be at the Easton cemetery.
