Mrs. Davarn was born in New Haven, Conn., to James and Mary Dougherty. She was married to James Davarn in 1887 in New Haven, where he had gone from his home in Pewamo. The next year following their marriage they returned to Pewamo where they lived since except for two years in Lowell where Mr. Davarn operated a hotel. They returned to Pewamo in 1915 where he operated an elevator business. The couple were well known in about Pewamo both in business and social circles. Surviving are six children, William, Neville, Miss Marjorie, Roger, and Mrs. Harold Ludwick, all of Pewamo and Mrs. Joseph A. Long, of Eaton Rapids, 12 grandchildren, and two sisters both in New Haven, Conn.
