The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 7, 1908

Michael Davenport, an old resident and early settler of this vicinity, died 
Friday after a long illness.  The deceased is survived by three sons and a 
daughter, Walter and Edgar of his vicinity, Warren, of Crystal, and Mrs. 
Keefer, of Nebraska.  The funeral was held from the home Sunday, interment in 
the Tuttle cemetery.  Mr. Davenport moved here from Lindon during the Civil 
war and has been a well respected citizen.
