MABEL V. DAVENPORT
SARANAC - Mabel V. Davenport, 82, of 9060 Potter's road, Saranac, died Wednesday at
the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 23, 1905, in Sanilac County, the daughter of Joseph and Nora
(Cutcher) King.

She married Nelson Davenport on June 1, 1927, in Dansville.

She was a member of the Belding Free Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Nelson; three sons, Dr. Bruce Davenport of Okemos, Ivan 
Davenport of Saranac, and Dr. Edward D. Jackson; one daughter, Ethelyn Rasmussen of

Washington; one sister, Mary Kenworthy of Florida; 16 grandchildlren, 19 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Belding Free Methodist Church, 
the Rev. Fred Wilbert officiating.

Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Belding Free Methodist Church.

The family will be at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to
4 p.m and from 7 to 8:30.
