Born June 29, 1929 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan , Annie was the daughter of Archibald and Elizabeth (Walker) MacNeilage, first generation descendents of Glasgow, Scotland. On August 24, 1951 she married Roger George Davenport of Portland. They lived the early years of their marriage in Greenville and Portland, then moving to Muir where they raised their daughters, Denise and Karen. Annie chose a career in Nursing working locally at the Lyons Chrysler Trim Plant and the Ionia Manor. Her caring nature was evidenced through her endless sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger (1984), son Dennis Allen Davenport (1957) and her parents. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters and their families Denise Deschaine, husband Bill and sons Billy and Andy of Ionia, daughter Karen Fate, husband Paul and daughters Megan and Hanna of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by her sister, Jessie Keller and husband Wayne of Jacksonville, Florida, and brother and sister in-laws Jean and Lyle Hummel of Ionia, Wayne and Nancy Morgridge of Ionia and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, November 30th, 11am, at Lake Funeral Home 3521 South State Road, Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, November 29 from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through Lake Funeral home to RAVE (Relief After Violent Encounter) in Ionia . The contributions will be used to provide a Christmas celebration for the residents of RAVE.
