The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 26, 1928
Funeral services from William Davarn, Sr., were held Monday morning from St. 
Joseph church, Pewamo, with interment in the Catholic cemetery one mile south 
of the village and but a short half mile from the spot where the deceased has 
made his home for many years.

Mr. Davarn was one of the oldest citizens of Pewamo in point of years as a 
resident of the village.  He was born on a farm, two miles southeast of town, 
79 years ago, and spent his entire life in that vicinity.
