Bills Davey-Handy, 84, of Cadillac, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at her home. She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Adrian, the daughter of Frank and Caroline Griwahn Bills. She married the Rev. Seth A. Davey on Sept 4, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1976. She married Adam Handy on May 27, 1983, in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Handy had lived in Cadillac for the past seven years. She graduated from Spring Arbor College. She taught school in Greenville, Belding and Custer and was an associate pastor in Belding with the Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the North Michigan Conference of the Free Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, the Rev. Seth Davey in 1976; two brothers, Richard and Stanley Livingston; and son, Marshall Davey. She is survived by her husband, Adam; children, Douglas B. and Thresa Davey of Casselberry, Fla., Nelson J. and Barbara Davey of San Paulo, Calif., Kent B. and Nancy Davey of Greenbrier, Tenn., Byron K. and Debra Davey of Belding, Joslyn J. Davey, Phillip A. and Diane Davey, all of Lakeland, Fla., Ruth E. and Eben Smith of Cadillac, Seth A. Davey II of Traverse City, David W. and Nancy Handy of Plano, Texas, Bruce M. and Pennie Handy of Roscoe, Ill., Beverly Coates of Stanton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Evart Free Methodist Church with the Revs. Eben Smith and Russell Atherton officiating. Burial is in Lakeview Cemetery, Ludington. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Peterson Funeral Home, Cadillac. Memorial tributes may be made to Mercy Amicare Hospice.
