He was born in Mulliken August 14, 1899 the son of Phillip and Edna Osman David. He attended Mulliken schools, and married Ewilda Shafer May 30, 1921 at Charlotte. They resided in Mulliken and spent a year in Lansing before moving to Clarksville in 1922. They moved to Lake Odessa in 1956. He was a station agent for the Pere Marquette and Chesapeake and Ohio railroads for 44 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Railroad telegraphers, the Railroad Veteran’s Association, the Michigan Wolverine CB radio club, and the Hastings City CB club. He attended the Christian Reformed Church and was a member of the Lake Odessa Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife, Ewilda; one son, Kenneth, of rural Portland; one daughter Mrs. Norma Stuart of rural Clarksville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 1:30 pm at the Pickens Koops funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Elwood Norton will officiate. Burial will be in the Clarksville cemetery.
