          ALPHA DAVID DIED AT ST. JOHNS HOME

                                 ---------

          LIVED SEVERAL YEARS IN THIS SECTION.  

LEAVES WIDOW AND STEP-DAUGHTER, ONE BROTHER.

                                 ---------

     Alpha David who lived in this village and in this vicinity for several years,
passed away at his home in this 
vicinity for several years, passed away at his home in St. Johns Tuesday.  The body
was brought to Lake 
Odessa Wednesday and the funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the
Methodist church here where 
Mr. and Mrs. David were members of the church.

   He recently lost two sisters and has only one brother left of his family, a twin
living in Ionia.

   He leaves his wife, Mrs. Blanche David and a step daughter, Miss Christine Holt,
who is a teacher in St. 
Johns.

   Mrs. David came Wednesday to her cousins here Atty. and Mrs. Thos. Johnson until
after the funeral.
