Portland Advertiser - Tuesday, July 28, 1868

In this township on the 23d Inst., of Erysipelas, Mr. Alpha David, in the 70th 
year of his age.

The Deceased had been a member of the M. E. Church for a period of more than 
fifty years. During his illness, which was of but a week's duration, in 
allusion to his departure he stated to his family that he was ready to go. He 
was formerly from Vermont.
