John Roger Davids, 94, of Sunfield, passed away Dec. 11, 2006 at the home of his
daughter.  Mr. Davids, son of John W. and Nellie (Rogers) Davids, was born at
his lifelong home in Danby Township Nov. 18, 1912.  He was a retired farmer,
retired Atlas Drop Forge Employee and a member of the First Baptist Church of
Portland.

He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia, on Dec. 7, 2003.   Surviving are his
son, Wesley (Brenda) Davids; daughter, Meredith (Glenn) Bowers, both of
Portland; grandchildren, Chris (Shannon) Bowers, Kevin (Heather) Bowers, John
(Nancy) Davids, Amanda (Gary) Mundt, Tammy (David) Pettit and Jennifer (Geoff)
Voss; 12 great grandchildren; sister, June Kent of East Grand Rapids, and
several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Dec. 14 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Pastor
Steve Taylor officiating.  Interment was in Danby Cemetery. Pallbearers were his
six grandchildren.
