Death of Danby Pioneer.

John R. Davids, the pioneer of Danby, died at his home Wednesday morning after a
long illness.  Mrs. David survives although in feeble health.  The couple
celebrated their golden wedding in 1901.  He was 81 years of age.  He has been a
resident of Danby nearly 60 years.  The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from
the residence and interment in Danby cemetery.  This cemetery is now located on
the ground where Mrs. David, then Margaret Rice, lived when her family first
resided in Ionia county.
