The Portland Review & Observer, Tuesday, February 16, 1937

Mrs. Horton Davis, 64, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Basil E. Lowry, 
in Portland, Friday night.  She arrived at the Lowry home for a visit early 
that evening and a severe heart spell caused her death a few hours later. 

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at Congregational 
church with burial in Portland cemetery.  Mrs. Davis had long been a resident 
of Charlotte, and Rev. Rudolph Roth, of Bay City, former Charlotte minister, 
officiated at the funeral.

The husband survives, as do four children: Mrs. Lowry, Portland; Miss Mary 
Davis, Mt. Pleasant; Miss Margaret Davis, Monroe; Harold Davis, Detroit.  
There is also a brother in Minneapolis and a sister in Detroit.
