Davis, a resident of Ionia for the past 13 years, died at the family home, 316 Yeomans street, Saturday morning at 6:25. Mr. Davis had been in poor health for a number of years and had been critically ill for several weeks. The cause of death was given as a complication of diseases. Mr. Davis was born in England 68 years ago. The family came here from that country about 1911. Since coming to Ionia he had been a member and regular attendant of St. John’s Episcopal church. Besides his widow he is survived by four children, Percy Davis, of Lansing; Mrs. William Rivett, of Detroit; Charles Davis, of Ionia, and Mrs. Lena Kerckes, of Lowell, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the late home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock and from St. John’s Episcopal church at 2:30. Rev. Thomas L. Parker will officiate. Burial will take place in Oak Hill cemetery.
