Gardner in Smyrna shortly after midnight Monday, resulting from paralysis. She rallied from the first shock and was conscious for a few days, telling her daughter-in-law Mrs. Frank Davis she would not get well. Her remains were taken to the old home where the funeral was held Thursday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Maxwell officiating. She was married to Samuel Davis forty-two years ago, her maiden name being Adeline Church, and they settled on the farm where they have lived ever since, making it one of the best in the township. She was loved and respected by all who knew her, and was a splendid wife and mother and she will be missed from the society in the neighborhood very much. She leaves besides her husband, two sons, Frank and Vern Davis, Frank living on a farm near by and Vern on the old farm with his father. Her mother, Mrs. Silas Church, a brother Lafayette Church of Evart, and sister Mrs. Hattie Sample of Hersey also survive her. The funeral was very largely attended and many beautiful flowers attested the high esteem in which she was held.
