Beatrice M. “Beatie” Davis (Marquette), 76, of Ionia died March 10 at St. Mary’s
Hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was born the daughter of Otto and Dalta (Witzel)
Northrup on March 26, 1921 in Ionia.

She is survived by one son, John (Lesa) Marquette of Fenwick; two daughters,
Mary Margaret (Gordon) McWilliams of California and Marcia Mae McCook of
Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; three brothers,
Lawrence Northrup of Ionia, Richard (Betty) Northrup of Sunfield, and James
(Rosemary) Northrup of Ionia; two sisters: Margaret (Paul) Kukielka of Grand
Ledge and Mary Ellen Jeffery of Ionia.  She was preceded in death by a brother,
John Northrup.

Funeral and Committal services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cook
Funeral Home, Ionia, with Rev. Darren Tharp from the Lincoln Avenue Baptist
Church officiating.  Interment in Balcom Cemetery.  Visiting hours are from 7 to
8:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the
Rich Street Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.  Memorial contributions to the
Ionia County Commission on Aging in care of Cook Funeral Home.
