Ionia County News, Thurs., Jan. 7, 1926
George W. Davis, 75, well known resident one mile east of Palo, died Wednesday 
night, following a short illness. He had lived on the farm on which he died for 
more than half a century. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. with 
Rev N.D. Potter, pastor of the Palo Baptist Church in charge. Interment will be 
made in Palo cemetery. He is survived by his widow, three stepchildren; one 
brother, William Davis of Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Gannett, 
Detroit, Mrs. Lottie Skilton, Ravenna O; and Mrs. Ellen Wright, Niles.
