Belding Banner-News, 9 May 1940

Lueah Davis, aged 62 years, widow of William Davis, died Sunday evening at the
home of her sister, Dr. Margaret A. Burt, on E. M-44.  She had been ill for
about a year, and confined to her bed for the past ten weeks.  Besides the
sister who has given her loving care through her illness she is survived by a
brother, James Ayres of Los Angeles, California; three sons, Frank, Harry and
Earl, all of Pontiac; two daughters, Mary Johnson of Detroit and Irene
Vanderhoff of Pontiac.  There are 12 grandchildren.  Funeral services were at
the Fitzjohn funeral home Wednesday forenoon, Rev. J. E. Sanders officiating,
assisted by Rev. Lawrence Gibbs.  Interment was in Perry Mount cemetery at
Pontiac, her former home.
