She was born in Saranac, November 12, 1889 the daughter of David and Zoe Duffy Collier and attended Saranac schools. Upon leaving school she moved to Lowell. In 1906 she was married to Charles Davis in Grand Rapids. They made their home in Lowell one year, after which they moved to Ionia. Her husband, Charles, preceded her in death January 10, 1946. Mrs. Davis was employed as a cashier for her daughter in an Ionia restaurant. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and member of the Altar Society. Survivors include two daughters, Frieda Kane and Laura Denny of Ionia; one brother, Hugh Collier of Lansing; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Brown, Lansing; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at SS Peter and Paul church Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Fr. James Cusack of St. Jude parish in Grand Rapids, nephew of Mrs. Davis will say mass. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery. Rosary will be at Boynton funeral home Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 in the evening.
