Ionia Daily Standard, 9 Jan 1899

George G. Davis, 61 years old, a veteran of the civil war, died early this
morning, from la grippe.  Funeral Wednesday morning at school house in S. H. of
C. district.

[Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried
in Oak Hill Cemetery.]
