Lake Odessa Wave - 20 Jan 1972
J. Vern Davis, 81, of 421 Lathrop, Lansing, died Jan. 16 at a Lansing hospital.  
He was born June 5, 1890, in Otsego and had been a resident of Lansing since 
1920.  He was founder and chairman of board of D&C Storage Co. in Lansing.

He is survived by his wife, Letha J. (they celebrated their 60th wedding 
anniversary on Sept. 15, 1970); a son, J. Vern Davis, Jr.; five grandchildren; a 
brother, Joy O. Davis, all of Lansing; two sisters, Miss Grace Davis of Mason 
and Mrs. Myrtle Hayner of Indiana.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home in 
Lansing, with interment at Sebewa Baptist Cemetery.
