NANCY JEAN DAVIS, 82
Nancy Jean Davis, 82, of Ionia, passed away April 24, 2018. She was born on May 30,
1935, in Ionia. She married Perry J. Helmes on Nov. 21, 1951, he passed away in 1984. She
then married Russell Davis on Sept. 15, 1989, he passed away on April 2, 2002. Nancy was
an Ionia Moose member. She loved to play bingo and decorate for the holidays. She was
an avid bowler and enjoyed gambling.

Nancy is survived by son Bruce (Teresa) Helmes of Ionia; daughter-in-law, Deb Helmes
of Lowell; grandchildren, Robert Helmes Jr. of Ionia, Misty (Joe) Davis of Freeport,
Stephanie (Ray) Granger of Ionia, and Al (Nikki) Helmes, of Ionia; great-grandchildren Kohl
Helmes, Kylie Helmes, Parker Davis, Hayden Davis, Kullan Granger, Braylon Granger, Ryley
Helmes and Hannah Helmes; and many nieces , nephews, friends and bingo girls. She was 
preceded in death by her son Robert R. Helmes, four brothers and six sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at the Ionia Moose lodge on Saturday, April 28,
at 2 p.m.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia County Animal Shelter.
