Jane L. Davis, 70, of Saranac, passed away June 15, 2003 at Breton Manor in 
Grand Rapids.  She was born April 21, 1933 in Amble, Michigan, the daughter of 
Dewey and Lila (Dishong) Yanke.  Jane married Duane Davis August 15, 1953 in 
Amble, Michigan, who preceded her in death.

Jane was a member of the Ionia Church of the Nazarene, Saranac American Legion 
Ladies Auxiliary and VFW.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Davis of Lowell, Russell 
Davis of Ionia, Kenneth (Susan) Davis of Ionia, Robert (Carla) Davis of 
Illinois, Dewey (Marianna) Davis of Saranac; daughters, Patricia (Mike) 
Steward of Texas, Barbara (Chuck) Graham of Rockford, Cheryl (Doug) Bailey of 
Lake Odessa; brothers, Bernard Yanke of Mt. Pleasant, Clarence (Mary) Yanke of 
Lakeview, Delbert (Sharon) Yanke of Lakeview, Lee (Jane) Yanke of DeWitt; 
sisters, Beatrice Winger of Michigan, Jean Hill of Paris, Michigan, Doris 
(Francis) Rogers of Texas, Joan (Ron) Rykert of Cedar Springs, Shirley Yanke 
of Lakeview, 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, three brothers-in-
law, and one sister-in-law. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Ionia Church of the 
Nazarene, with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  Interment will be at 
Saranac Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday from 
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  
Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution to the American Heart 
Association or American Diabetes Association.
