Sentinel-Std. - Saturday, July 10, 1965

Percy Davis 68, retired Ionia State Hospital employee died unexpectedly Friday 
evening at Belding Community hospital.

He was born in Lowell September 23, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, and 
was married to Harriet Markey in Ionia November 25, 1919. At the time of his death 
they resided at 407 West Riverside drive.

Mr. Davis retired in 1961, after 28 years service at Ionia State Hospital.

He was a member of Temple Baptist church.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Marie Hodgman of Ionia, two sons, 
Harold Davis of route four and Ronald of Lyons, three grandchildren, two sisters, 
Mrs. Marguerite Rivett, Ionia and Mrs. Laura Kerekes of Lowell.

Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with burial at Balcom

cemetery.
