Snyder, 27, route one, Ionia at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. State Police said the boy was apparently riding from the driveway in front of his home on Schaefer road onto the roadway and back just prior to the accident. Tall weeds hide the driveway from clear view and the driver of the auto stated he did not see the boy until after the collision. The injured lad was taken to the office of a Muir doctor for initial treatment and later transferred to Ionia County Memorial hospital where he died of multiple internal injuries according to Coroner Richard Hull. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of 6580 Schaeffer road, muir two sisters, Michalcan, 10, and Colleen, 7 one brother, Ricky 9, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mills of Muir, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Davis of Portland and a maternal great- grandfather, Clyde Gilson of Muir. John was born January 8, 1960 and attended Hayes rural school. He completed kindergarten there last spring. He also attended North Plains church Sunday school. The ody will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull Funeral home in Muir until noon Saturday when it will be moved to North Plains church for services at 2 p.m.. Rev. Charles Henderson and Rev. Stephen Beach of Lyons will officiate. Burial will be in North Plains cemetery.
