Davis of Lansing, died at their home in Lansing, Friday evening, at the age of 83. Forty years ago, Rev. Davis and family came to Lake Odessa as pastor of the First United Brethren Church and was given a second pastorate of the church again about 25 years ago. On account of this residence in this village the family became attached to it, especially the wife. Their oldest daughter died here, and Mr and Mrs Davis often came back to call on old friends. The funeral was held at the U.B. Church with the Rev. C.N. Stormes giving the sermon, and the Rev. Hatton of Detroit, former presiding elder, gave the prayer. Rev. D D. Stratton of Eaton Rapids and a Rev. Davis of Berrien Springs were also present. Burial wa at Lakeside Cemetery. Besides the husband, two sons Herbert and Victor of Lansing, and a daughter Veda of Grand Ledge remain.
