MRS. JOHN DAVIS DIES

Mrs. John C. Davis died at her home four and one-half miles north east of town, 
on the evening of Tuesday, December 24, after over a years illness with 
consumption. She was 45 years old at the time of her death and had been married 
to Mr.Davis about six years.Before her marriage she was a resident of 
Indiana.Besides a loving and devoted  husband, she leaves two sisters, one in 
Indiana the other being Mrs.Thomas Leak, of this village. The funeral will be 
held from the Congregational church in this village on Friday forenoon, Dec.27, 
at 11 o'clock, meeting at the house at ten o'clock. Rev. Skentelbury will preach 
the sermon, and her remains will find their last rest in Lakeside cemetery. 
Mrs.Davis had a wide circle of acquaintances and was held in high esteem by all.

We wish to thank the many kind friends and neighbors for their kindness toward 
our dear wife and sister in her last days, and for their help and comfort in our 
great bereavement. Again let us thank all.
