Hasting's Reminder - Saturday Ju ly 26, 2025

WANITA SUE DAVIS(nee Werner) born October 26, 1957, in Hasting's, MI and raised 
in Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2025, after a quick 
battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family in her final moments.

Wanita was preceded in death by her parents, Louise & Darwin, and her 
sisters,Judy & Marlene.

She is survived by her brother, Dwayne & his wife Virginia; her children, 
Maranda (mother to Jade & Fenix), Rebecca (Mother to Jenevieve, Xander & Gage), 
& William (married to Miranda); along with many close friends and extended 
family.

She retired from Aetna Insurance, where she built lasting friendships. A devoted 
Detroit Tigers fan, Wanita also played sports throughout her youth & loved 
cheering from the sidelines later in life - especially at football games, where 
she was often the loudest voice in the crowd.

Wanita was everybody's mom. Her door was always open, she always picked up the 
phone, and her freezer was always full of bagel dogs & mini pizzas. Though she 
had little, she gave much, creating a sense of welcome for everyone who walked 
through her home.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 28 from 3-7 p.m. at Lake 
Odessa Township Community Room located at 3862 Laurel Drive, Lake Odessa,MI 
48849. Wear orange!

Wanita's humor, steadiness, and deep love will be missed by all who knew her.
