Davis to Be Conducted Friday Afternoon at 2:30 from Baptist Church. Friday Ionia will pay its last respects to a former citizen and public servant who gave many years of his life to the service of this community, when the funeral services are held for the late Frank C.M. Davis, a former mayor of the city, and for many years circuit judge. Not alone will Ionia county be prepared to voice its final tribute but representatives from Montcalm county, over which Judge Davis presided as circuit judge also, will attend the services. The funeral party will arrive in Ionia at 12:45 city time over the Grand Trunk railroad. An escort of members from the Ionia Commandery, No. 11, will be present to meet the body of Sir Knight Davis and members of the Ionia-Montcalm county bar association will also be present. From the depot the party will proceed to the Baptist church where the body of Judge Davis will lie in state from one o’clock until 2:15 o’clock. Funeral services will be at 2:30. Those wishing to view the remains may do so during this period. All Sir Knights of Commandery No. 11 are requested to be at the Grand Trunk depot upon the arrival of the train to accompany the party to the church. All Sir Knights will meet later in full Templar uniform to act as an escort for Ionia lodge No. 36 in marching from the temple to the Baptist church where the Masonic burial service will be given. Sir Knights will park their cars on East Main street headed east on the north side of the street in front of the county building. Members of the Ionia-Montcalm bar association, will serve as honorary pall bearers. Rev. F.J. Fitch, pastor of the Baptist church, will have charge of the funeral services.
