Miss Matilda Davis, aged 75, of Route 1, Belding, passed away at her home on 
Sunday, January 2.  She was born in Grattan Township, Kent County, on August 
7, 1890, and spent her life in that area.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral Home in 
Belding.  The Rev. Dean Blough of the Alton Bible Church was the officiating 
clergyman, and interment was made in Smyrna Cemetery.

Miss Davis is survived by one sister, Miss Emily Davis of Belding; one 
brother, Alvin C. Davis of Belding; and a foster son, Lewis Howard of 
Greenville.
