IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI; Monday, May 24, 1993; Page 3A:
BELDING – HAROLD (STUB) DAVIS, 84, of Belding died Saturday at Belding Christian
Nursing Home.
   Born in Belding April 14, 1909, he was the son of Vern and Minnie Davis.  He
was retired from farming and also retired, in 1974, as a custodian and bus
driver for Belding Area Schools.
   He was a member of Ionia County Farm Bureau.
   He was married Nov. 24, 1932, in Belding to the former Arthalene Tuttle; she
survives.
   Also surviving are a daughter, Betty Minzey of Gowen; a son, Mike Davis of
Gladwin; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
   He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Hicks and Florence Swartz.
   Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from Johnson Funeral Home,
Belding, with the Rev. Darwin Hassert officiating.
   Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens.
   The family will be at the funeral home Monday (today) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7
to 9 p.m.
   A memorial for Ionia County United Way has been established in care of the
funeral home.
