Lyons Herald, 14 Nov 1912

Geo. DeVore, aged 43 years, passed away Tuesday night at about eleven o’clock 
at the sanitarium of Dr. James DeVore in Grand Rapids, where he had been for 
treatment for the past few weeks.  Death was due to a combination heart failure 
and Bright’s disease.

Deceased was a son of Dr. R. P. DeVore of Lyons, and was born in Kent county 
June 17th, 1869, removing to Lyons with his parents Nov. 9, 1881.  He was 
united in marriage to Miss Kittie J. Tubbs, daughter of Mrs. Mary Tubbs of this 
place, on Tuesday, June 14, 1904.  The widow who is left to mourn his loss has 
the sympathy of the entire community.

The body will be brought to Lyons this noon, and funeral services will be held 
at the house Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment in Lyons cemetery.
