Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Feb 1958

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Portland for Roy W. Dawdy, 73,
former treasurer of Portland village who died Saturday in Sparrow hospital at
Lansing.  Born in Fenwick he operated a clothing store at Portland for 35 years.
 He retired as Portland village treasurer last year after 17 years. 

Surviving is a son Richard of Portland; two sisters and six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.

Burial was at Portland cemetery.
