Ionia Daily Sentinel - Friday, April 29, 1912

Samuel H. Dawdy of Portland died at his home there last week. He has been a 
resident of Portland for 20 years and was 55 years of age. He leaves four 
children, Mrs. F. Trierweiler, Roy Dawdy, and Miss L. Dawdy of Portland and 
Harvey of Detroit. He also leaves a widow. The remains were taken to Fenwick, 
for burial.
