The funeral services will be held at the house Sunday afternoon at 1:30 and at the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 o’clock. The interment will take place in Saranac cemetery. Mrs. Dawson was a native of Berlin and before her marriage was Miss Lucy Bishop. Her entire life has been spent in the vicinity of Saranac. She had no children of her own, but at the time of her marriage to Mr. Dawson she accepted the trust of caring for his three children and her devotion to them and to her husband who has been a semi-invalid for several years marks her life as one of a beautiful Christian character. The children of her step-children were frequent visitors at her home and there was no limit to the affection that she poured out to them. Her husband and the three children, William Dawson, of Grand Rapids; Glenn Dawson, of Saranac, and Ralph Kernen, of Ionia, survive.
