Lowell Ledger, February 1, 1912

Old Resident of Lowell and Keene, Buried

Mrs. William H. Dawson died at the family home in this village Thursday, 
January 25th.  Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday afternoon 
at two o’clock, conducted by Rev. W. D. Ogg.  Interment at Oakwood cemetery.

Louisa Jane House, daughter of Anthony and Mary Ann House, was born in Madison 
County, New York in 1842.  She came to the township of Keene, Ionia County, 
Mich., during her tenth year.  She was married to William H. Dawson of Keene, 
Nov. 22, 1858.  To them ten children were born all of whom are living except 
one.  Besides her children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Sherman 
of Belding, and Mrs. Hendricks of Chicago, Ill, and one brother, Charles House 
of Sparta, Mich.
