Ionia Sentinel, December 11, 1956

SARANAC - William F. Dawson, 65 died in his car December 10 on Main street in 
Saranac.

Born March 22, 1891 in Saranac he was the son of Herman B. and Caroline Dawson 
and was a merchant in Saranac for a number of years, retiring in 1956.  He was 
also a member of Boston Lodge No. 146 F&AM and was an active member of the 
American Legion in which he held several offices.

Surviving are his wife Mabel; a daughter, Dorothy Theisen; eight grandchildren 
and one sister, Mrs. Lena Kernen of [unreadable].
	
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Morris 
funeral home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating and interment will be in 
Saranac cemetery.

Bearers will be six nephews, Herbert Talcot, Jack Dawson, Philip Dawson, Fred 
Kernen, Robert Kernen and Kenneth Kernen.

[Transcriber's Note:  The correct spelling of his father's name should be 
Heman Dawson (not Herman).]
