Dawson, a resident of Lowell township for the past 60 years, died at her home at Lowell Thursday, Jan. 25, 1912, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 10 days. Louis Jane House was born in 1842 at Madison, New York. She came to Keene with her parents when but 10 years old. She was married to William I. Dawson Nov. 22, 1858. Besides the aged husband left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother, are John and Dell Dawson, Mrs. Andrew Tasker of Lowell, Herman Dawson of Saranac, C. H. Dawson and Mrs. T. C. Rouse of Grand Rapids, Mrs. W. D. Smith of Lyons, Emery Dawson of Lansing, Gilbert Dawson who is in the Klondyke. Mrs. Dawson has two sisters and one brother, Mrs. John Sherman of Belding, Mrs. Hendrix of Chicago, Ill., Charles House of Sparta. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Lowell Jan. 28, conducted by Rev. W. D. Ogg. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery (Lowell).
