Ionia County News, 22 Nov 1927

Rev. Elmer Day, 70, former pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church at 
Clarksville was buried from that church Monday at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Berger, new 
pastor of the church officiated.

Rev. Day died at his home suddenly Friday evening from heart disease.  He had 
been active and progressive leader of the church while he was connected with it 
and stood high in the community in which he lived and served.

He is survived by Mrs. Day.

His health had been poor for some time which led to his retirement.
