FRANK W. DAY, SR.
Frank W. Day, Sr., 78, of 1107 Bridge, Portland, died Sunday at Lansing General
hospital.

He was a retired sexton of Portland cemetery after 26 years and World War I veteran.
He was also member of American Legion Dale Hyland post and VFW post, both Portland.

Surviving are his wife, Jennie; son Frank Day, Jr., of Portland; two daughters, Mrs.
Eleanor Smith of Portland, Mrs. Bonnie Smith of Grand Rapids; two step-sons, Dervillo Ames
of Illinois and James Lemon of Portland; five step-granddaughters, Mrs. Pauline Lehman
and Mrs. JoAnn Vashaw of Portland, Mrs. Doris Droste of Sunfield, Mrs. Margaret Young,
and Mrs. Marian Loucks of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p, at Neller funeral home in Portland. Rev.
Walter Ogden of Church of God in DeWitt will officiate. Military graveside services will be
at Portland cemetery.
