The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, November 14, 2000

Lawrence N. Deal, 63, of Portland passed away Nov. 7, 2000, at the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.  He was born the son of Clarence and Mildred Deal on 
April 29, 1937, in Findlay, Ohio.

Surviving are one son, Ronald (Tonya) Deal of Portland; five daughters, Tammy 
(Bob) Herringshaw of Ohio, Carolyn Jordan of Ohio, Patty Hepp of Ohio, Hiedi 
Deal of Ohio and Marcie Deal of Portland; nine grandchildren; two sisters, 
Ruth (Richard) Bayless and Sharon (Floyd) Flugga both of Ohio; and one 
brother, Clarence “Junior” Deal of Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his 
parents; two sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services were held Saturday at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, 
Ohio.  Memorial contributions can be made to the wishes of the Deal family in 
care of Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.
