The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, December 27, 1958


Frank W. Dean, 58, died unexpectedly at 4:30 a.m. December 27, at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital, where he had been admitted late Friday.  He was born August 
16, 1900 in Berlin township, the son of William and Kitty Dean and was married 
June 14, 1923 to Emma Hafner.  Mrs. Hafner died May 24, 1954.

Mr. Dean had been employed by the C & O Railroad Co. for 30 years and had 
worked in Grand Rapids the past 23 years.

He is survived by a son, Donald of Ionia; his father, William Dean of Ionia; a 
brother, Harvey of Carson City; three nephews and eight nieces.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., the place will be designated 
in Monday’s announcement.  The body of Mr. Dean is at Boynton’s funeral home.
