Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. Nov. 10, 1922

MRS. HANNAH DEAN DIES SUDDENLY MONDAY EVENING
Mrs. Hannah Dean, who has been a resident of Lake Odessa for the past eight or ten
years died suddenly Monday evening at her home just west of the post office.

Mrs. Dean was a sister of Mrs. Maria Chapple, Aunty Chapple as every one called her,
and when Mrs. Chapple died she left her home here to her sister, Mrs. Dean of Kalkaska,
who came here to live and has proven a very kind and pleasant neighbor and friend.

She always had a smile and cheerful word for all who knew her and was devoted to her
family. Her daughter, Mrs.and Mrs. John Ward and little grand daughter, Dena, have 
received her greatest attention.

She has been troubled with heart trouble for a year, but was about as usual during
the day. She was taken ill while undressing for bed, and died in a short time.

The funeral was held at the home Wednesday morning and the body taken to Kalkaska
for burial beside that of her husband.
