Dean, 61, 3425 Sayles Road, Easton township, died Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for two days prior. She had been ill for some time, being hospitalized intermittently. Born March 5, 1896 in Easton township, her parents were Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt C. Wilbur. She was married June 25, 1932 to George Dean, in Ionia. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Mark W. Hoppough of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Vinnie) Beckerman of Cleveland, Ohio six grandchildren and two brothers, Guy Wilbur of Keene township and Bud Wilbur of Watersmeet. Mrs. Dean was a member of the First Christian church, Rebekah lodge No. 100 of which she was a past noble grand, Keene-Easton Rural Women’s club, Orleans Literary Club and W.S.C.S. of the Easton church. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty of Saranac officiating. Interment will be in Easton cemetery.
