Dora J. Dean, 73, Passed Away Sunday

Mrs. Dora J. Dean, 73, route one, passed away early Sunday morning at the Ionia
County Memorial hospital after a long illness but had been hospitalized for two
days.  A native of Ionia county, she had lived at her farm home northwest of
town for more than 20 years.  Mrs. Dean attended the West Berlin Wesleyan
Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband, James K.; one son, Rollo C. of Lake Odessa; four
daughters, Mrs. Shirley (Evelyn) Tucker, and Mrs. Hollis? (Vivian) Tischer both
of Saranac, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Potter of Lowell, and Mrs. William (Emma Jean)
Loding of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Johnson and Mrs. Verna Mast,
both of Belding; a brother, Paul Cowles of Grand Rapids; 9 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel
with burial in Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. M. Stuart of Clarksville officiated.
