The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, December 23, 2005
Roger James Dean, age 77, of Mecosta, formerly of Saranac, passed away 
unexpectedly Wednesday, December 15, 2005 at his home.  Mr. Dean was born 
October 22, 1928 in Ionia County to George and Audrey (Smith) Dean. 

He was honorably discharged from the US Army serving in the Korean War.  Roger 
moved to Pretty Lake shortly after the passing of his wife Bettie (Johnston) 
Dean in 1991.

One of eleven children Roger is survived by two sisters: Mertle Miller of 
Tempe, AZ. and Dorothy Parker of Lansing numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Daggett Funeral 
Home in Barryton.  Mr. Parker will be laid to rest 10 a.m. Wednesday at Letts 
Cemetery, Berlin Township, Michigan.
