Former Clarksville Woman Passes Away

Mrs. Emma C. Deardorff, 63, wife of Orville L. Deardorff of 2537 Magnolia Ave., 
LaVerne, California died on January 22, at Pomona Valley Hospital after a brief 
illness.

She was born Dec. 6, 1901, in Bowne township, Kent Co. She was married to 
Orville Deardorff on June 6, 1923 and lived in the Clarksville area until 7 
years ago when she moved to LaVerne, California. She had been a member of the 
Church of the Brethren since childhood.

Besides her husband, Mrs.Deardorff is survived by a daughter, Mrs.Dean Lehman of 
Torrance, California; a son, Duane Deardorff of Lake Odessa; a brother, Stephen 
A.Weaver of Centerville, Michigan and four grandchildren.

Funeral service were held at the Hope church of the Brethren at 2:00 on 
Wednesday, January 27. Interment was made in the Bowne Mennonite cemetery. 
Arrangements were made by the Beattle Funeral Home of Clarksville.
