Ionia Daily Sentinel – 1 July 1959
Mrs. Alta Deatsman, 55, 411 (unreadable), Lansing, was found dead in her bed 
Wednesday morning by her husband when he went to say goodbye before leaving 
for work.  She had been in ill health for several years.  She was born May 13, 
1904, the daughter of Jay and Sophia Eldridge of Lake Odessa, and had spent 
most of her married life in Lansing.

Surviving besides her husband, Edward, are two sons, Kendall and (unreadable) 
of Lansing; her mother Sophia Eldridge of Lake Odessa, two sisters, Mrs. Ray 
(unreadable) Farrell of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Robert (Hazel) Bordon of Lansing; 
three brothers, Edward and Lewis of Lake Odessa and James of Ionia, and five 
grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made and will be announced later.
